Prayer Ought to Be in Schools
I found Lexi S’s article “Prayer Ought to Be in Schools” to be controversial. Her opinion about practicing Christianity in school is not fully accepted by many other readers, for not every student or teacher is Christian. In my opinion students should have the liberty to speak freely about their religion and be open about it without penalty. However, students not teachers should impose their own beliefs and religion on others. Practicing Christianity is school would be pressuring others to follow that particular religion only. Yes, the United States was founded, at first, based on Christianity but our country has been growing and expanding. The United Sates is the home of a diverse group of people, people with different beliefs and cultures and their beliefs should be respected. Lexi I appreciate your opinion even thought my opinion differs from yours.
