"How to say Good-Bye"
Brianna Shoaf’s article, “How to Say Good-Bye,” I found extremely moving because it related somewhat to what I went through with my own father. It is amusing to visualize how Brianna and I have so much in common, even though we are miles apart. Comes to show that you are not in it alone. See although Brianna still has her dad, I don’t, but saying, “Good-Bye,” was so difficult not only before but after his death.
“I don’t want you to go,” these were the exact words I told my dad when he left to Mexico with my Grandma. I wish I would have done what Brianna did because I was so cold to my dad after he left. I did not call or text him as often as I should have. I didn’t even visit him. I regret it so much. The last memory I have of my Father was the day he said, “Good-Bye.” Reading Brianna’s article, it honestly made me sob. Thank you Brianna for this amazing article of yours.
