"Don't you wish you could cut yourself out of your skin?"
In the poem, “Don’t you wish you could cut yourself out of your skin?” by “Stephanie” from Parker, Colorado, does a spectacular job at expressing the inner struggles of an emotionally trapped teenager.
As Stephanie begin to write about her trapped soul, it instantaneously caught my attention. Stephanie explains her troubles and desires with such feeling and imagery and continues to drag it out throughout the poem.
This poem was extremely motivating and inspiring, for not only do I want to express myself though poetry, I do not feel so alone. Thank you Stephanie, for your bravery and inspiration.
