Beauty Within
I wholeheartedly agree with Kristin Hopkins in her article “Beauty Within.” People shouldn’t be judged based on appearances but what’s inside. It seems that the only people you can rely on are your family and friends, but even they can’t help you gain your confidence back. You are slowly given in to the insulting comments you hear everyday, changing your perspective of yourself. “It’s funny how one insult, one insignificant snub, can change the way you think about yourself.” It takes one direct hit to a person’s soul as they let their mind consume the thought they had witnessed. And it’s almost impossible to look in the mirror without seeing the person everybody’s been looking at. Do not let people get into your head and try to get you to think you are ugly or stupid. They obviously don’t know the first thing about you.
