An Atheist at a Christian Summer Camp
The September 2014 issue had a reading called," An atheist at a Christian summer camp". The reading was about a girl who is atheist, who needed to find a job . She eventually found one at this camp. The story was very influential, the reason why that is was she was an atheist at a Christian camp. She had to tolerate them and she didn’t want to do that . Nearing the end of the story she had an inspirational quote,"To accept something is to welcome that behavior and view it without judgement ". The reason I wrote feed pack to this story is that I connected to the story, because I am Christian and to have someone with a different set of beliefs come to a Christian camp is odd, not only that she stopped tolerating religion and started to accept their way of living. Also the people at the camp didn't judge her they didn't try to convert her to Christianity and make her live like a Christian. I hope this taught people who read the story that we can live with differences in the world. when she went she thought that she was going to meet normal kids her age but she didn’t. The moral of the story is don't judge people who haven't judge you.
