Critique of "Pressure to Do "It""
I totally agree with the author of this article. Every junior and senior in high school now is just trying to regain the sense of innocence they had before middle school. They all want to forget about college applications and the years they spent being thoughtless in a completely pointless attempt to impress their peers. If we could just go back to the time before we could see that the meaningless encounters and parties aren’t worth any of the trouble they cause for us. No one needs these things to feel like a grownup because being a grown up is something so much more than that. It’s showing that we are responsible and that we can handle what the world throws at us, not how many shots we can take at a high school party. Grow up the right way.
