Hurting

I found Merveille Nsumbu's poem "Hurting" extremely moving. When she says "you hurt me more than Topshop jeans that don't fit," I can relate because I know how it feels to try to fit into jeans that do not fit and being hurt. I also see that the poem could be based on a relationship problem since it goes on to talk about the other person "smiling through pain and tearstained t-shirts." Thank you Merveille for expressing what I couldn't in my own relationship when we have our differences.
