Girls, well not just girls but teenage girls they are just so hard on themselves. I am a teenage girl, and I struggle with self-confidence.  I look at myself in the mirror thinking terrible thoughts about myself; it’s just what we do. Like it said in the letter, “ She will tug at the skin around her knees and hips and the back of her neck,” thinking how big her thighs are or how these jeans make her look fat. I like how she is being completely honest about what we think of  ourselves. My parents tell me how pretty I am and all, but I just feel like that’s what parents are suppose to do. Believe in them, don’t bring yourself down, and that’s what she is explaining. She did that perfectly.
