Feedback on How I Became a Monster
I was hooked. I usually veer away from the longer articles, usually out of laziness, but the title caught my eye. The introduction must have been the best I've ever read. There is no better way to draw readers in than to make things deeply personal; and that's exactly what Deb did.
She told a story about something that almost any young person could connect with- the need to make their parents proud. Deb wanted to become successful and bring everything together for her family, but in doing so, became so focused on her work that she neglected her parents, the one's she ws doing everything for. The memoir was eye-opening and deep in ways that I had not considered before.
