Autism Is Not A Tragedy by Amita Reka
Amita R's article "Autism Is Not A Tragedy" really caught my eye. I agree with her statement, "Another misconception about people with autism is that they are incapable of being artistic or intelligent, which is absurd." Just because people have autism, doesn't mean they can't have special talents. Those people with autism may not have the talents of others, but they have their own special talents. They are intelligent, like Amita said, "People need to understand that those with autism do not have a lower-level of thinking, just a different way of thinking." Thank you, Amita, for informing people about the truth of people with autism.
