Freedom is waking up in the morning with the ability to choose. Given by the flag and taken by the citizens, our privilege of the free will to choose defines what freedom represents. It’s the feeling that can’t be experienced any other place than the United States of America.

Rising out of your slumber at an ungodly hour hearing your son or daughter crashing down the hall with their shoes that are half a size too big getting ready for school. Rushing them out the door to get to the bus stop punctually, lunch bag in hand with the last “I love you” for eight hours. The feeling of achieving what the American dream and having complete satisfaction with your life choices is part of it. The freedom effect.

Flashes of fireworks fill the sky on the mainland as chaos consumes the environment of our soldiers. Strong and taught, they hold their rifles as the would their wives, remembering who and what they fight for. The freedom effect.

We remember the fallen. We remember the selfless service they provided for our personal safety. We remember what they manifested in America. The freedom effect.
