The Bermuda Triangle

Dozens of airplanes and ships have mysteriously disappeared within a triangular region in the Atlantic ocean, called the Bermuda triangle, or it is also known as the devil's triangle. The Bermuda triangle is roughly bounded by Miami, Bermuda, and Puerto Rico. So why is it that in that specific region planes and ships vanish, and are there other mysterious places similar to this?

The USS Cyclops was one of the first incidents connected to the Bermuda triangle, it was a famous ship carrying coal for the U.S. Navy that mysteriously disappeared in 1918 and was never found any wreckage distress signals or anything, around 306 passengers were aboard. There are many more stories that are just like this one.  Many have heard of Amelia Earhart, the first woman to fly solo across Atlantic ocean and never landed, once again no wreckage was ever found. In 1945 a group of five naval bombers flew on a practice bombing run and all experienced malfunctioning compasses eventually ran out of fuel and were forced to ditch at sea. That same day a 13 man rescue crew also disappeared, and after many weeks of searching no evidence was found, the official Navy report said,“ it’s as if they had flown to Mars.”

There have been many theories as to why weird things happen within that specific region some think alien abductions, or a wormhole into another dimension. A more realistic theory is that the Earth's Van Allen radiation belt comes closest to the Earth's surface down to an altitude of 200km creating crazy energy levels. Causing destruction for satellites, spacecraft, and other crafts. The energy levels there are so high which can cause strange weather conditions, which could also lead to the disappearances. According to “Bermuda Triangle.” History, Columbus wrote in his journal about seeing a meteor while he was in the area and saw a strange light and had weird compass readings. Spinning compass due to abnormal energy within the magnetic fields and electric fog are what pilots and captains have reported experiencing as well. The electric fog is like a thick gray fog with sparks within it, it sticks to the plane and can mess with instruments.

The Bermuda Triangle is so bizarre, but are there places similar to this? The answer is yes, apparently in Michigan there is also a triangular region where people and crafts have gone missing. This area has had numerous mysterious events.

The Sargasso Sea is another place that is located in the middle of the Atlantic ocean it is the only “sea” that has no borders. And it is bounded by four currents which create a swirling vortex within that vortex seaweed is in masses. It is said that many crewless ships have been found in this area and that the seaweed can be so thick that it can sink ships.

There are some strange places in our world and we might never be able to solve their mysteries. Everyone has heard of the Bermuda triangle but, most don’t know of the others places that are just like it, like the Sargasso Sea, and the Michigan Triangle. Hundreds of missing crafts disappearing without a trace and never to be found. And no theory has solved these mysteries but their legends will live on forever.
