Cats

Cats have been around for at least 4,000 years. Cats were usually known for their hunting behavior, but now they are known for being loving and cuddly. Small cats differ from big cats, like lions or tigers, although they are mostly the same. Cats have excellent eyesight, they have an extra eyelid for protection. They are able to see at night. Cats also have great hearing, they have a lot of muscles in their ears. They can hear from very far away, and even frequencies. The statement, "Cats always land on their feet" is true! They have the ability to right themselves when they fall, so they will land on their feet. Cats can also be right handed, or pawed, or left handed/pawed. Most cats are left handed. Have you ever had a cat lick you? You can feel how their tongue feels, it mostly feels like sandpaper. The cats tongue is like that because they use it to groom themselves. Think of their tongue as a brush for their fur. They also use the texture of their tongue to lap up water. They cannot taste anything sweet. Cats can also be trained, most people think you can't train a cat from how independent it is. You can train a cat anything you can to a dog. You have to train your cat early though, when it gets older, the harder it will get to tame and train your cat. You will probably know when you cat is happy, your cat will have its tail up, or it will almost do a massaging type of way with its paws. They can have very different personalities too, some are quiet, while others are very noisy and will meow at any time. Or most times they will just want to be left alone, as other cats want to interact with humans or other animals. Some cats like to sleep up in high places, as others like to sleep on furniture.

Some other facts about cats will be bad behavior. Sometimes your cat will use other places instead of the litter box. This could mean some signs, like your cat is trying to get your attention. Scratching is also a problem, this could mean your cat is working off energy, or fixing up their claws. Aggression, this could mean that it’s not getting enough attention, or over crowding, or maybe it is ill.
