Entry 1

In the 1980s life was way different. There were no cell phones, not every house had a computer, you walked or rode your bike to school. You walked to friends houses, stayed outside until the street lights came on then walked home alone. Cartoons were only on tv saturday mornings and there was no netflix you went to the video store to get movies. School in the 80s was also different. Students walked or rode their to and from school. Students carried books and not computers the school had maybe one computer if it was a wealthier school. Most students wrote their papers or used a typewriter. In the household during the 80s was much different. The mom would cook dinner and everyone in the house would eat together in the kitchen where as today most familys will get take out and eat in different rooms. That is how home life in the 1980s was different from today.

Entry 2

Entertainment in the 1980s was almost the same as it is today but it was delivered different. In the 80s there were movies sitcoms and sporting events on tv, But you couldn't stream movies through netflix and hulu, To watch a movie at home it had to come on tv on a friday night or you had to go to a rental store. There where sporting events on tv and during the playoffs it took over the chanels. If you didn't watch sports on tv then you listened to them on the radio or went and watched them in person. Sports where also way better then, in the nfl the defenders could actually tackle the qb without worrying about a flag, in the nba the players actually played defense and didn't just shoot 3s, the game was way more athletic. Movies were better, they kept you immersed in the what was happening, the actors acted better. They were funnier more dramatic.  That is how entertainment in the 1980s was different from today.

Entry 3

Hanging out with friends in the 1980s was way different. You couldn't just text each other. You had to go to your friends house to see if they were home, if they were home you went outside and did things. You would go to the park, a hangout spot, or you would hangout at a friends house. Most people didn't have a game system and if one of your friends did all of your friends hung out there. Teenagers went out on the weekends more often then they do now. They weren't afraid to get hurt  or do something that would get them in trouble. They would go and meet a bunch of friends in a neutral spot. That is how hanging out with friends in the 1980s was different from today.
