God bless America that my grandpa fought in Vietnam. He served as the Sergeant of the Air Force, 18 years old stationed in Okinawa. Protecting the rights, making sure his children and generations on growing up in a country that is free. Going through years of trauma, whole life scarred from deaths right in front of his eyes. Freedom of speech means a long journey, a long fight, a long earned right.

God bless America for a public speaker like John F. Kennedy, changing millions of people towards equality and helping immensely during WW2. Through his many speeches from topics about eliminating poverty to fighting communism which have Otherwise wouldn’t been possible without freedom of speech. Freedom of speech means to change society, change minds, and to change the world.

God bless America that my family moved from a dangerous home towards a safe future. From a place where people are stuck through generations doing the same job and making the same pay. Moving into a new country where freedom is given, opening the doors of opportunities. Freedom of speech means equal jobs, equal say and equal pay.

God bless America that I have freedom of speech, that millions of people had the compassion and humbling to earn that for me. That allows me to not only wear a cross around my neck, yet also talk about what it means to me. That as a woman, I can voice my opinions on unfair topics such as jobs, treatment, and judgment. Freedom of speech to me means confidence of gender, confidence in my religion and confidence in my words.
