Types of Photography
To me, photography is an art of observation. It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place… I’ve found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them once said by Elliott Erwitt. In the world there are 1.8 billion digital images every single day. There are also 657 billion photos taken per year. Photography has many different topics for example there is wildlife photography, landscape photography, wedding photography, food photography.
Wildlife photography consists of the outside, animals, one object and different animals. There are also environmental portraits, full body portraits, behavior portraits and many more. Some examples of wild life photography would be. Some animals such as elk, deer, bears, elephants, birds, fish, and many more. Taking these photos these animals can be pictures many different ways. They can be a close up on the animal face. It could also be a full body picture of the animals.
Lets snap into our next category. Landscape is a major category for photography. It can range from the outdoors, horizons, and spread out. Some examples of this wide range would be mountains, trees, lakes, buildings, and towns. When taking these pictures there are three different ways. Representational…. which is also known as straight descriptive style. There is also Impressionistic and Abstract.
Representational landscapes are most natural and realistic out of all the styles of landscape. This can be approached with what you see is what you get kind of mind set. There are no props or artificial components are added. But there is special attention on farming, lighting and composition of the image.
Impressionistic landscape photography has a vague sense of reality. Some of these photographs will make the landscape seem more unreal. The people that view these photographs are given the impression of the landscape not the true story or representation of the landscape. Abstract photography uses components of scenery as graphic
Another type of photography is Wedding Photography. This type of photography consist of usual a groom and bride on their wedding day. It can also consist of engagement photos, family photos, the entire guest that attend, happiness and more. It can also be filmed where you can make a little video with pictures and little clips of the wedding day. This photography type leaves memories. You will always have these photos to show your kids, grandkids or your kids children.
The last type of photography is Food Photography. Food photography can extend in so many different ways. You can take pictures of just different types of food like vegetables, fruits, and meats, cheese. But you can also take pictures of staged food, restaurants, bakeries, stores, and different cultures. There are so many different types of foods in the world. Having different cultures connect together it brings peoples customs together.
To me, photography is an art of observation. It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place… I’ve found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them once said this is now stuck with me it was said by Elliott Erwitt. Today we talked about all different types of photography. Photography has always been a hobby of mine. Photography is what keeps the memories alive.
