Letter to a Veteran
Dear Steve Wanege,
I would like to start by thanking you for your courage, sacrifice and service to our country. I am proud to be an American, and I have to thank you! Thank you for your sacrifice and because of that you got injured in the chest and your elbow, and cause of that you earned the Purple Heart pin.
I have watched the Honor Flight movie and it has made me realize even more what you have done for the United States so that I can enjoy the life I live. Other countries don’t have the rights and freedom that we do and for this I thank you.
I am currently a junior in high school in Hartland, Wisconsin. When I go to college I’m thinking on going to school to be a detective maybe not sure though. I am happy to hear that you are part of this year’s Honor Flight and you are receiving the recognition that you deserve. You are a hero and very nice to make conversations with. I hope to see you around again.
Sincerley,
Courtney
