Sacramento, My Home
My Sacramento is like new born baby, calm and beautiful. Every morning i wake up with the suns rays, shining through my window. I could smell the pancakes my mother made for us to start the day great! We’re in the middle of fall...but don’t worry, we keep our streets shinier than a mirror. In the afternoon i will go out with my “blondies” what i call my best friends, to the park and just hang out like any other day and have fun.
This must suck but what you just read is a lie...my Sacramento makes my head hurt all the time. I come from an immigrant family, so on a daily base i wake up and it’s pretty dark. We are a very diverse city and not everyone has the same. Some people live in some nice houses but there are others who live in the streets which aren't as clean as i said before...my bad. My english teacher just told us that there’s a homeless man right outside of our school. It’s sad but I’m being real about my home.
I’m going to tell you a little secret that only teenagers like me know of...we smoke weed! Well not me because i find that nasty but what? Where is the government to stop the weed from reaching teenagers? I could say they only point out what they want but where are they when we struggle? Then they complain when there’s a lot of crime and bad things going on...that’s nothing but bullshit!
My Sacramento may not be perfect but it’s my home. I know how to deal with all the problems so I’ll be okay. Just don’t get fouled by the beautiful image you have of the capital of California.
