Wisconsin My Home
Wisconsin is a crazy place to live. Whether it’s Bernie going down his slide at the Brewers game, having fun walking around State Street, or just spending time in your hometown it doesn’t matter Wisconsin is the perfect place to live. Having all four seasons where you live is rare and though the winter is not the most fun it gives you an excuse to go somewhere warm and tropical during spring break, or to go 4-wheeling in your backyard in the snow.
Madison, Wisconsin is where my dad and I get to spend the day together. We walk around state street and eventually find ourselves at the 3 story noodles restaurant that I remember from when I was younger. We visit these concrete structures where I take pictures each time. Next we walk down the Memorial Union terrace overlooking Lake Mendota. Eventually it is dinner time and we go to Vintage Spirits and Grill for the best southwest burger ever. Why is the burger so good I’m not quite sure but there is something about it that just keeps my friends and I talking about it and wanting to go back just for the burger.
Milwaukee, Wisconsin is the city of life and entertainment. You can find just about anything to do in this city. Watch a Bucks game with your friends, go to the Admirals Hockey game with your family, or go to Brewers opening day at Miller Park, which now is American Family Field. Sports of all kinds are in Milwaukee. It’s a place of love for people and the culture surrounding it. Milwaukee is also breathtakingly beautiful. For prom we took photos by the art museum lakefront and there were so many other people who chose to do the same.
Hartland, Wisconsin is home to the best Culvers ever. John the man who runs the show there is the nicest man ever. Ask for extra M&M’s on your custard and he will in fact give you a ton of M&Ms. He does a lot for the community and Hartland wouldn’t be the same without him. Nixon Park is in the middle of Hartland where every year we visit the fireworks and every year they do not disappoint. Hartland is home to all of my friends and all of the everlasting memories I made here.
I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else. I’m proud to be a Wisconsinite and everything that comes with it. Wisconsin is a place of many things, but most of all it is my home and it's where I could live forever.
