Buzzer
Buzz the orange tabby was my first pet. I named him after Buzz
time.
Then one July morning he was hiding under the deck which was his
favorite hide out. When a fox came silently trotting into the yard. The fox
stood in the grass for a minute then suddenly dashed under the deck where
Buzz was hiding. We froze. What seemed like hours passed. The slowly the
fox crept out of the yard into the night with a dark figure glistening with
blood in its mouth. I saw the whole scene but my 4 year old brother didn’t.
We put up signs and pretended he ran away but I knew the truth.
Light-year who I was obsessed with at the time. He wasn’t like most cats,
he went on walks with you he drank from the toilet, he even caught birds
and brought them to you. Buzz was the kind of pet that came once in a life
