My diving team is like my family. We share a common interest, but we also share something else in common; injuries. Erik’s knee has scars showing years of pain. I watched him learn wheelies on a wheelchair. He had to stop soccer completely and stick to just diving. Erik always looked at the glass half full; he never sees the bad things in a situation. Nate gets pain of a bee stinging and stinging him over, and over again on his shoulder. He rubs it off like he doesn’t feel it. He’s down to earth and never thinks anything is wrong. He has a care free attitude. I, on the other hand, have too many injuries to even write them all out. But that’s why I’m strong. I show no pain on my face. I’m the one that keeps the team going and brings together, we’re a pack of wolves. I fight to the finish and never let my back, ankle, shoulder, or wrists slow me down. I go for what I want, but we always share that common interest of diving and injuries.
