Disneyland Ride

I don’t know how to start this story, but I want to write about is the twilight zone, the tower of terror ride in Disneyland.

Going on this ride took forever. Waiting in that 45 minute line felt like an eternity. But finally getting to the front felt like such a rush.

My best friend and I walked into the elevator, took our seats, and strapped ourselves in. Strapping myself in made me feel like I was in an electric chair.

The elevator went up a couple of floors, and then it stopped. It was completely pitch black inside. My heart felt like it was going to burst out of my chest. But I had nothing to be afraid of, because like five seconds later holograms of three or four people came out. They walked around, and while they did that, a booming voice was talking. After that, they walked inside of a holographic elevator, and then lighting struck, it was fake lighting though. A few seconds later, we just dropped. It felt like my stomach had just dropped out of my body. My heart began to beat really fast.

When the elevator came back up, these “windows” type things opened up, they were really big “windows”. We were up so high that all the people on the ground looked like little specks then, all of a sudden, the elevator dropped, again. I didn’t see it coming, so it kind of scared me. The elevator ride went up and down like that four or five more times. But, the last time it went up, the big “window” things opened. As soon as they opened there was a blinding flash of light. When the ride was over, I just assumed that the flash was a flash of a camera taking our picture.

My friend and I went to the photo booth to look at out picture. We thought we looked so ridiculous, but we bought the picture anyway. Now that memory of us can last forever.
