It was a particularly good day in my life and I was making my way to the CMC room of life. The CMC stands for content mastery center; before that, it was called a resource room. The CMC services students with special needs or disabilities.

Every day I walked in to the CMC, and there was Mrs. Meri Christensen, who makes my day. I go to the CMC for help with my classes because I have a disability and Mrs. Christensen is one of the people I can talk to and can trust with anything.

The one thing that Mrs. Christensen does well is listen. I can sit down with her and talk about the things going on in my life. We also email each other and that makes my day.

The first day I met Mrs. Christensen, I was at Stone Bank School in second grade. When I was in elementary school, I was in the CMC a lot and for most of my classes. Now, I am able to take all regular classes and go to the CMC for help in them.

Now, I am 18 years old and my relationship has changed somewhat but not a lot because me and Meri Christensen are good friends. She helps me with lot of work, but I do what I can on some of my school work. But if I need help, Mrs. Christensen is there to help now and then.

She was the funny teacher because she would call me funny names. I could read with her, but most of the time when I would see her, I would say “hi” to her. The best part of my life was just having a nice person as a teacher and a best friend that I can talk to every day of my life.

I think Mrs. Meri Christensen is the teacher you should pick as a winner because she a person that is be there for any student at anytime they need help with school work or with other things in their life. Meri Christensen is one person no student can get mad.
