An Amazing Man and Coach
John Mesenbrink—my wrestling coach—has been in my corner for both wrestling and life since the day I met him. He is the rare, devoted, and dedicated coach who pushes each athlete beyond what they thought possible. It’s unreal that a man well into his thirties steps on the mat and obliterates my teammates. He is unafraid to show (instead of just tell) the skills we need to learn. He’s unafraid to work hard himself. And because of this, he taught me what work ethic truly is. John is an outstanding coach, but more importantly, he is an outstanding man.
