Not all students are blessed to have caring teachers. Fortunately, I am. Mr. Douglas Bailey, without a doubt is the best teacher in the universe. He is extremely helpful. He is also very generous. In order to be successful in life, you have to be taught the right way to do things. Mr. Bailey continuously sets his students up for success.

Mr. Bailey has very few, but very effective teaching skills. He has a strict demeanor, which brings a tiny bit of hostility into his classroom. This is not a bad thing, for hostility is needed in order to have control over students. His teaching methods are persistent. Every time his class starts a new lesson, he will have his students take notes and ask questions as needed. This allows his students to learn more.

Mr. Bailey is not only active in the classroom. He is involved with other activities for the school. He has been the athletic director at Highland Home high school for 7 years. He is in charge of the math team. He is also very supportive of all of the school’s sports teams.

Mr. Bailey is not a selfish teacher whatsoever. He is willing to help all of his students whenever and wherever. If needed, he will teach at the slowest pace possible in order for his students to understand what is being taught. His patience is key to most students academic success. I believe that Mr. Bailey believes that no child should be left behind.

Having such an awesome teacher as Mr. Bailey is a great experience. His involvement and helpfulness with his school and math classes are wonderful. He allows students to feel as if they have complete control over their knowledge. All he tries to do is set all of his students up for success.
