Educator of the Year
My nominee is my English teacher Robert Black here at MacArthur Ninth Grade School.
Mr.Black is phenominal at his job, he consistanly reminds us that we must remain of track and focused. Although he deals with disobedient young adults everyday. He always has a positive attitude, and carries himself in such an encouraging way, effecting everyone around him.
This year I arrived late in the school year and began to struggle in many classes, (English being one). I wasn’t understanding the material being taught to me. Constantly asking questions or would just give up because of the frustration I was experiencing.
Mr.Black seen I wasn’t understanding and help me after school on Tuesdays. The extra work helped and I began understanding the material. Through that time I wanted to give up many times. Robert refused to allow this and always reminded me that life isn’t simple. That you will experience short-term problem but you can’t give up.
Robert Black has taught every single one of his students to the best of his abilities. He stays hours at a time after school just to make sure his students succeed. He doesn’t allow any slackers and he certainly doesn’t approve of people believing they couldn’t do something. I’ve never seen a person so dedicated to their students.Majority of his students value his opinion. Constantly asking questions on whether their work sounds good or If he could help them better their writing. Many people don’t give him the credit he deserves, and I believe it’s finally time he is shown what a stupendous teacher he is.My nominee is my English teacher Robert Black here at MacArthur Ninth Grade School.
