What would you do if Kanye West walked past you when you were eating lunch with your family? I’m guessing you would get up and take a picture with him. Now, what would you do if Rosa Parks walked past you when you were eating lunch? Would you even notice her? There would probably be nobody chasing her. Except me.
I would love to meet Rosa Parks because she had so much courage to sit down for what she believed in. To me, that is so inspiring. I would want to ask her how much courage it took her to say sitting and get her point of view.
Talking with her for 20 short minutes, I could learn so much about how to be brave and stand up for what I believe in, even if it is not the “popular thing” at the time.
In this day and age, people get so wrapped up in the celebrities that they forget about the people who made it possible for everyone to be treated equal. Without them our life today would be so different.
