My Name
The meaning of Aiden. “Little fire.” A fire inside of me. Passion. Drive. A fire can be used for good and bad. which humans have both sides of. so it is a good way to describe someone.
Fire can burn you. Burn the world. Cause destruction. but it also can help you stay alive. cooking food. keeping you warm. You need it to survive—but it can kill you just as easily.
I think the number eight. Aiden reminds me of a Caribbean blue. my eyes have sort of the same shades of blue .
I got my name Aiden in a not very spontaneous way. My mom said “it was in the baby book and we liked the name and meaning of it.” I never knew that there was no story behind it. I always thought it had to be chosen from something extravagant. But It's not something that disappoints me. A lot of the time that's how people choose their kids' names.
A fire—on my head. When people see me and hear the meaning of my name, they laugh. They think it's funny because my hair is red. I think it’s orange in a hurtful way. But Everyone knows me. I stand out like a nasty green jeep. It would be nice not to always stand out. People only make fun of you because they’re jealous.
My name isn’t like everyone else's. Sure it is a common name, but nothing like Thomas, Christian, Noah, Sam, Jacob, Michael. so many people have them. People have my name, but most people spell it Aidan instead of Aiden. Which makes it different
My name reminds me of mountains. The A in my name is a pointy top of a mountain, the “i” is like a real skinny narrow peak. The “d” is like a little incline on the way to another peak.
The “e” is like a low point in the mountain. And finally the “n” is like on your final descent home coming down from the mountains.
If my name had a texture though I would think it is smooth with a little bumps here and there. My name represents some of those little bumps you have to go through in life.
I would describe my name as an orange because it has those bumps but is also sweet. Like the good things about life such as crashing your car, but having a car.
I will keep my name because it makes me who I am. It fits me perfectly. “Little Fire” represents my personality. the orange color and rough texture. what life puts you through.
