The Memories
i have memories,
none really good.
the good memories are tucked away
frozen in the back of my mind
locked and chained in a room.
that dark cold room,
once in a while someone in my mind,
my mind people,
come and slowly unlock the door.
this happens on the days i look back at a picture of me smiling...
smiling...
how...what is a smile?
for it has been so long since a smile has spread across this face
is it possible that at one time
i was a smiling child?
pain....maybe one day
hopefully
i will smile again...maybe
