My Shoes
I passed someone walking in my shoes today, the same short gray boots, jeans tucked in. Couldn’t help but notice who was she was; the perfect girl. Blond hair, proportioned body, pretty and all of the above. I almost watched her go. I almost turned to see her leave but I couldn’t because I had seen the smile on her face as someone called out behind her. I had seen the brightness flutter into her eyes and I my feet suddenly felt constricted.
I passed someone on the sidewalk today. She wore my shows you see; living the live I would never lead.
