This Little GIrl
There was once this little girl who had lost her will to fly. The sky beckoned behind the clouds, "Come to me. Come to me," with their soft melody. This little girl looked to the heavens, lost from her world, desire of belonging filling her up. The sun peaked through the clouds, only to disappear again, an unending game of tag with no winner. This little girl waited for the words to be heard, to be able to find her place again but the chance would not come. This little girl would stop looking, stop seeing, stop believing. This little girl was once able to soar, soar so high that not even wispy clouds could touch her. It was this little girl that taught me everything about who I am supposed to be. It was this little girl that I will always need.
