One Night
That was all it took to ruin my reputation. I walked past ignoring the evil glares and hate-filled whispers that seemed to be my footprints. The rumors got more and more absurd.
"I heard she let two guys on her."
"She was on meth."
"She does this all the time, my brother saw her with a bunch of 21-year-olds."
"I heard she's pregnant."
I pretended not to notice when people hissed things in my ear, words that burned me more than any straightener could.
My friends stood by my side, denying rumors, and threatening gossipers, but there was no way to stop the words flying out of people's mouths. All I could do was keep my head down.
One night, one hit, one shot, one boy.
A million lies
