Eyes of Wonder
My mom’s eyes can be bright like the sun or dark like the ocean. When I look at into her eyes I imagine the light summer breeze on my skin. Looking into her eyes I feel, safe, at ease, and home. There's no pain, only a feel of protection. No pain only a feel of protection, is what I get. I’m glad my mom has the eyes she has. That feeling you get when you watch the sunset, that light, beautiful, sensational, overwhelming feeling is what I get when I look into my mom’s eyes.
I have my mom’s eye color, shape, and size. Does she have the same feeling when she looks at me? Does she see chocolate or does she see a comet soaring through the nighttime sky, with hundreds of little stars glistening behind.
