Hugs
My family gives and receives hugs like candy on Halloween. Hugs that heal, hugs that help, and hugs that have no meaning. My mom, as petite as she is, embraces every hug like she won’t be able to hug again. Her warmth spreads like hand warmers in winter. They are short and sweet. My dad hugs like a bear. Warm and inviting bear hugs. My dad's hugs help heal the broken how a doctor heals their patients. His sturdy arms makes water fall from my eyes like waterfalls. I give hugs like a boa-constructor, long and tight. I squeeze as hard as a monkeey squeezes a branch. My brother, he gives the best hugs. He is as tall as a mountain and as sturdy as a tree, but when he wraps his long and lengthy arms around you it makes you forget what you were sad about. His warm smile simply pulls me in to an embrace worth living. My brothers hugs heartwarmingly help when my day is as bad as it can be. My family gives and receives hugs like it’s the only thing we have to offer.
