To be list
A life worth living is one in which there is a purpose to be. Not so much of a “to-do” list, but more of a “to-be” one. Everyone has one.
I am the rhythm of the living, the natural cycle of life is what makes me what I am. The stages of growth and decay, the realization of the fragility of one’s own place in society, tipping precariously this way and that. Some have a more solid base or more stability, others are balancing on the head of a pin. This instability leads to adaptation by everyone who is able and willing to change.
Humanity is only here because enough people wanted their bloodline to continue, meaning that we all (mostly) were here on purpose. Existing is enough for a few, but I want to Live. I am the entrails of this life, the residual effects of people and things long gone, but that have shaped me in one way or another. I was put here for a reason, so many have sacrificed their lives for us (as a whole) to exist. I want my existence to be bearable I guess, the less monotony and slowness the better. I am able to see these choices in my life and want a solid foundation so I can enjoy it as soon as I can. That’s why I will never work in a cubicle, it would be a 3x4 prison of my own creation, I enjoy my own space, sure. But to be in the same spot doing cubicle-esque things would kill me surely.
I carry the rhythm of the living in my soul, and I use this to my advantage. Using my ability within different musical outlets, through the way I work hard in learning the proper way to read music and play different instruments, this leads to my stability. My fingers have adapted by creating calluses from where the strings of the guitar and bass cut and tear away, the natural selection of skin cells hard at work. Living for me is to work towards a stable future, with a strong base of knowledge and specialized skills that can be applied towards a career in my future.
I want to lead a life worth living. The day that I can no longer stay in time with the living, I will retire from that path and try something new. To the beat of a drum that allows me to continue living life with a purpose.
