My Baby
I realized I could lay with him forever. I looked up at him, straigh into his blue eyes and we both laughed. I rested my head back on his chest and snuggled into him. His arms around me squeezed gently and I knew why I was in love with him. It was for these little moments when nothing else in the world mattered. When we could forget about each other's past and just lay together. Too people joined by a love so deep that you couldn't even understand. Even if we fought like crazy, I barely ever worried. We'd been through enough where neither of us wanted to be without the other. We were to halves of one whole person. Neither of us could live a full life without the other. That could change at some point, but that was not today. And as I laid in his arms with his body keeping me warm, I knew I wanted him to be around for a very long time. I did love him, and I just wish he understood how much.
