Hush Hush Hush
My father lifts me up, his hands wrapped around my sickly drunken body. I am 13. I have just taken in half a bottle of vodka and a mixture of pills. My little brother stares. And cries. I am 83 pounds. All fat. I am being rushed to the hospital. An IV gets shoved in my arm. I scream obsceneites so loud the nurses rush rush rush. I finally shut up. Social worker: Why would you do something like this? Drunk 13 year old: I hate this, I need sleep.
I return home. And sleep.
