Into the Lion's Den
If you grew up being forced to go to church every Sunday, you may know the story of Daniel going into the lion’s den and coming out unscathed. That God saved him. Maybe you’ve even seen the Veggie Tales version.
I feel like I was pushed into the lion’s den. Like Daniel, I was kind of asking for it. There Daniel was praying to God when he was only supposed to be praying to the king, and there I was applying to this private high school.
Eventually, Daniel got into trouble and was thrown into that dark and scary hole, and eventually I got my acceptance letter and was thrown into that horrible all-girls school. What were Daniel and I thinking?
So what’s the difference between this Bible story and my life? I’m afraid God isn’t going to take me out of this place.
