First Night With My Cat

I'm laying in my full size bed, under my navy blue blanket, waiting to get the call that my kitten is outside ready to be dropped off. I’m getting excited and anxious waiting to see my cute black, gray and white kitten. Finally, around midnight, I get a call saying the cat is here. I jump out of bed and run down the dark hall to my front door, not even thinking about turning all the lights on. I swing open the door out of excitement and standing on my front porch is my friend Sam, tan skin, shaved head, short sleeve shirt and jeans on, holding my kitten in his hands. The kitten is meowing; his meows sound like a little kid screaming. I grab the cat; his fur is as soft as a feather but feels so silky.

Sam says, “I hope you like the cat, he won’t stop meowing so good luck.”

“I love him! He’s so adorable and soft! Thank you so much,” I reply.

I’m so excited about getting a new cat, I run into my brother’s room and open the door. I can’t see anything, but I go up to his bed and wake him up, telling him to come to my room. He walks in not knowing what to expect and when he looks at my bed there’s a tiny kitten the size of my hand crawling around and meowing on my bed.

The kitten is just like an ordinary crazy cat. He’s jumping around, and fighting with our hands. He’s biting the tips of our fingers because that’s the only thing his little mouth can fit around. He’s also trying to explore my room, jumping off the bed so he can run around the clothes on my floor. He goes underneath my bed just to see some buckets of hats and shoes under there. After that, he finally becomes tired. I lay down, pull my blanket over my body, put my head on the pillow and my cat crawls up, laying on my neck, falling right to sleep.
