Fate's Hand
Fate intervened long before we were born writing our destiny and story of two best friends. From childhood to the present as the years have unfolded and we've grow older, the closer we have become, yet with time brings change which was not good for us. My best friend, the one who had my back when the whole world seemed against me. You were there when I say goodbye to the closest thing to a mother, since I lost mine all those years ago. Now it's my turn to be there for you, but how if only I knew. I was there when you found yourself in a jail cell reminding you their was a life outside those bars to come home too. I'm no competition now to help beat out the demons you face within. I can't fight addiction especially not my own. Now you're just a mirrored image of the boy I knew of the verge of becoming a man. I've learned I can't save everyone and your no exception. Yet, I also know I don't want to watch as you throw your future away. When you know exactly where this path leads straight to the jail cell you so easily escaped.
