New Year's Drama
So today is New Year’s and yes, your right drunk people everywhere! For some reason people on New Year’s Day people act like they’re never going to be able to get drunk again and drank all they can. I on the other hand was with my sister and her two kids going to this thing called Red, White, and Boom. I’ve never been I’ve only heard about how big and fun it is. Well on the way we went to pick up a mattress we bought and put in the trunk of our van because we took out the back seats.
I was sitting in the back on Snapchat, to be honest not the safest thing ever, it was fun though. When we got there we found a parking spot, got out and went through the gate. It was crazy, there was a nice soft back playing but people were this big area where water shoots out of the ground with their shirts off dancing like they’re in a metal concert.
Kids were mimicking the adults being crazy, and the teenagers were being inappropriate, I guess that’s the only normal thing. When we found our seats and got my niece (3 years old) and nephew (7 months old) situated, there was a little boy who was about 3-4 years old kept coming over to my niece and gave her flowers and flags, she would smile and take them. She said, “That wasth nice, I’m get him a thing too!” She grabbed the first thing she was messing with which had to be grass she was pulling out of the ground.
She walked over to the little bot and sat it beside him, smiled and walked off. His parents laughed and said thank you.
We sat in front of the stage where the band is supposed to play, when it started to get dark Love and Theft came out and started to play one of their songs! I love “Love and Theft”! So I ran up to the stage and held my phone out for home to take a picture with me! He grabbed it! He took one picture and while I’m freaking out that I got a picture with him I see some girls in the back of my picture photo bombing it, and for some reason I got extremely mad at those girl (Not my fault)
After that mess they did fireworks, me, my sister, my niece and nephew were standing in front of the bathrooms watching the fireworks and videotaping it. Well this really drunk guy walks by staring at my shoes and said I looked cute. He wasn’t even looking at my face, he looked like he was zoned out on my toes. He ask if I had a boyfriend and I quickly said yes because I wasn’t trying to date anyone who liked me for my toes, then he asked my sister and she said yes because we were laughing to hard because he couldn’t look at our faces he just looked at our feet.
When the fireworks were over we went back to the van and left. Well we saw our family members and stopped at a gas station right up the road, when we got done talking to them we tried to start the van and it didn’t start. Well perfect timing because a man fell out in the store and was foaming from the mouth on the floor. People started to freak out a run out of the store, we had to just sit there because we couldn’t leave. The only people who didn’t leave were to drunks, they stood there and watched.
The bad thing about where we were at was we were right in front of the front door and when they called the ambulance to come pick him up we would just be sitting there like bad people.
After that mess a drunk man walked up to the car and stuck his head in my window, looked at me they my sister and I kid you not he had the straightest face and all he said was, “Hey.”
