“Ding” my phone vibrated. It was my friend calling me to come to her house. I picked up the phone and sleepily said “Hello.”

Mallory  screamed “Where are you!”

“What do you mean it is 6:00 am. Where do you want me to be?” I replied

“Selena you said you will be here early in the morning for my party!”

“Oh. I totally forgot I will be there in 20” I said with a flat tone in my voice.

“Ok don’t forget” Mallory  said with a worry in her voice.

“Stop worrying I will be there in a few minutes” I said

“Ok” She said with a strange tone in her voice. I think she thought that i wouldn’t come because our other best friends Kelly, Sophia, and Dana were fighting. And it was for the most stupidest reason. Kelly thought Sophia was talking about her and so she asked Dana if she was. Dana said “no.” Kelly didn’t believe her and she went and told Sophia that Dana said that she was talking about her. Kelly just wanted Sophia to tell her the truth so she acted like Dana told her something when she didn’t. Sophia denied it and went and asked Dana when she ever talked about Kelly. Dana said she didn’t say anything and Sophia didn’t believe her. So Kelly is mad at Sophia for not telling the truth. Sophia is mad at Dana for telling Kelly something (which she didn’t do but Sophia thinks that.) And Dana is mad at Kelly for telling Sophia a lie. So one of the main problems is that none of them trust each other at all. Mallory and I have no idea what to do. Mallory invited them all separately to the party she is having today. She said that the other two were not invited to all of them. So now Mallory and I are going to help them be friends again by talking to all of them together. It usually works we have done this many times. I don’t get why we fight so much because Dana and I have been friends since first grade and then we met Mallory Kelly and Sophia in second grade. We have been friends ever since then but those three still don’t trust each other. I am the only one who hasn’t fought with any of them. But I am always the one who solves them but someone has always helped me. Even though they fight they don't fight at once. I always have at least one person who helps me resolve the problems with me. I told Mallory that I will come early to her house to practice what we are going to say to them.

I got dressed and raced to Mallory’s house because we live a block away. I rang the doorbell and her little brother George opened the door.

“Mallory is in her room. You can come in.”

I said “Thanks! How are you George?”

He said “ I am good. How are you?” George was a calm little boy he didn’t talk too much and he was very polite. Well that is when there are other people in his house. Mallory says he is a pain when they are alone. I don’t know why she says that it could be true I am not so sure. I replied “ I am fine thanks and started to go upon the squeaky stairs they have. I reached Mallory’s room and opened the door.

“What’s up Mal?” I said with happy tone. She looked at me with her I am disappointed in you face. She gets that from her mom.

“What did I do” I asked

“You were supposed to be here 30 minutes ago” She exclaimed

“Well I would have gotten up but I am tired and I slept really late last night I said” I was kind of whining at that time but it was true I slept really late. I thought she would be mad but then she immediately change the subject so she wasn’t mad. “What are we going to do to make them friends again” She asked.

“I don’t know” I answered back. Then we heard Dana talking to George. So we raced down stairs and made sure George didn’t tell her that Sophia and Kelly were coming. When we went down stairs we found out that George didn’t tell her anything. Then the doorbell rang and Dana was the one who opened the door.
“What are you doing here” they asked at the same time.
By that time they saw us and while pointing at each other “why is she here?” Then we heard another ring in the doorbell and it was Sophia she asked the same questions.

I then said “Fine we invited all of you guys to come here because Mal and I didn’t want you guys to fight anymore.

“ Fine” Dana said “I will sit and talk with them if they agree.”

Sophia then immediately said “You know what you and Mal are good friends for doing this. I don’t want you guys to be mad at me or support someone else that actually did something wrong.” “I’m in” she concluded.

We all turn slowly to Kelly and she said “Sure whatever.” In a sarcastic way.

“Great” Mallory said let's go to my room and talk. I raced to the kitchen and got a few things to eat.

Mallory looked at me and asked “Selena what are you doing?”

I replied with a bowl of popcorn in my hands “oh it's going to be a long night.” We started to talk it through Kelly started and said she had a feeling that Sophia was talking about her. Sophia tried to talk but then Kelly quickly added that “Dana actually didn’t say anything and she only said that so Sophia will tell her the truth.”

“See! I didn’t say anything.” Dana exclaimed

“Ok fine” Sophia whispered with a disappointment in her voice. She almost sounded like she wanted to be mad at Dana. All of us quickly noticed that. I thought to myself why would Sophia want to be mad at Dana. She was an awesome friend a great person and she is always was nice to everyone even if she didn’t like them.

Mallory then asked Sophia “why did you say ok like that?” Sophia looked at all of us having a confused look in our face.

She said “Oh I see!” There was a small pause. Then she continued saying “I see why you guys called me here you only want me to feel bad and me too apologize.”

“Hold on what!” I exclaimed

She replied saying “Yeah. Selena you always support Dana because you guys are closer and you known each other for longer, but guess what we are your friends too!” She argued with anger you can slowly see her face getting red and then you can surely say she was mad.

I replied “I don’t always take Dana’s side.”

“Umm. I wouldn’t say that is so true” Kelly added

“WHAT” I said surprised that both Kelly and Sophia think that then I turned to Mallory and said “Mal Do you think I always take Dana’s side?”

Mallory tried to speak but all that came out of her was “Um….  you know… just maybe… a little.”

“Uhh. I can’t believe you all think that of me. I am sorry” And I left. I felt both sad and mad. Sad because my friends thought I took sides. And mad because they didn’t tell me all this time. I went home opened the door and my mom was sitting on the couch talking to my dad and she asked how it went. I told her about what my friends all thought of me and she said “ok but are any of them mad at you?”

I replied “I don’t know I think Sophia is” I showed stress in my tone I was upset.

My mom said “Ok but the others aren’t right? Then she asked what Dana said during all of this”

I said “I didn’t stay long enough to hear what she said.” My mom was quiet Until I busted out asking what i should do.

She replied “I don’t know it is your call. Do you want to go and talk to your friends or leave it like this until someone comes and talks to you?”

“I don’t know that is why I am asking you. I said slowly.

“Take sometime to think and choose what you think is right.” She said.

“Thanks mom.” I replied. I thought and thought and thought but I still didn’t know what to do.

The next day, I walked to school that morning still not knowing what to do. I felt like I was crazy because I was talking to myself the whole time. Then I got it I finally got my answer what was I going to do I was going to go up to them and say sorry and see if they will accept me or not.

They were all talking I walked up to them and started by saying “Hi” they said hi back and Mallory started to talk and then I stopped her I said I am going to talk this time and you are going to listen. I said my apology and they forgave me even Sophia I was happy and so were they. We all promised that we were never going to fight again. But that also kind of started a fight but we solved that one and all the other ones the same way.
