Vroom! Vroom! The beastly sound of the motor was roaring, the seats were vibrating like crazy. The moment I sat in the leather seats and climbed in the five point harness, my heart started beating like a pair of 12 inch subwoofers. With my adrenaline increasing I decided to put  the sand rail into first gear, but then it hit me. I was sitting there dumbfounded because I didn't know how to drive a stick shift!
Many people might not know what a sand rail is. A sand rail is a car  that is made for offroad and for sand hills and mud runs. For tires it has paddle tires in the back and slicks in the front. It's just like a dune buggy but with a big motor with roll bars across it. My uncle bought it. He had to trade a four wheeler and two dirt bikes along with some money. He wanted a sand rail because it is something he can ride in and another person could ride with him because my uncle is in a wheelchair- but he is still a thrill seeker.
So I asked “How would I work the clutch”?
He said “It's just like a dirtbike. Push the clutch in and shift it. Then give it gas and let the clutch go easy”
I replied “OK. So it's just like a dirtbike.” So I put it in gear and started driving right behind my house on a spot where there are trails to ride... but the biggest thing I didn't know is that the brakes went out. So when I was going fast and I saw the corner coming up I had to find a way.
To slow down I don't want to  hit a tree but  I can't take hard turns because it had paddle tires on  the back and slicks in the fount.  I went from 3rd gear into 1st. That made the engine brake so it would slow down.
I got to drive around a round for a long time. I was thinking This is so cool. This is one of the best days of my life! I couldn’t wait to tell my friends and mom that I drove the sandrail.
When I was finished driving I had to park it and clean it. Then I went to pull into the driveway but in the process of pulling in  I ran over a rabbit; but it didn't phase me. I just laughed and proceeded to park it in my driveway so I could clean the sand rail. When I got out, I seen the rabbit and put it out of its misery and threw it away.
I had to wait a long time for the motor to cool off so I could wash it. After cleaning it I thought to myself how easy it was to drive it but; mostly how lucky I was to be able to have the opportunity to drive something so amazing.
