Adulthood
I don’t believe there is a instant transition from childhood to adulthood, but I definitely think it started around when I took on more responsibilities. These responsibilities include acquiring my permit when I turned 16. Shortly afterwards I received my first job; with this job I saved up enough money to buy my first car. These events led up to getting my license, as well as starting to pay my insurance. These additional responsibilities led to my adulthood, if I am even
When I turned sixteen it was a huge deal to me, considering that was when I was able to get my permit and drive places with my parent of course. This gave me a reason to get a job and start saving up for a car. I acquired my first job at McDonalds. I was only making 400 a month, but it was enough to save up money as well as practicing driving every time I worked. Over the first couple months working there I bought my first car.
My first car was a 1998 Volkswagen Jetta. I paid 1500 for it as well as the title and tags, along with a couple repairs; I had a drivable car. I still had one issue though, I didn’t have my license. Which lead me to the most important part of my transition to adulthood, taking my drivers test. After I passed my drivers test I was able to drive freely, wherever and whenever I pleased. Overtime I acquired an additional job and started to pay my insurance which leads up to my adulthood.
