Knees
When I was young I used to call my mom's knees weird “they’re so skinny” I would tease. My mom's knee are skinny misshaped, there's little scars from being clutz, and playing field hockey, and volleyball growing up. It was a joke I made for years whenever he knees came into my point of view. One day while sitting down on my bed I looked down and I saw my mom's knees on my legs. Skinny and misshapen scared from being a clutz, falling off my bike, and field hockey. For years people have been telling me I’m just like my mom not just how we look but how I run, talk , speak, stand.
I never thought much about this ,I never really agreed with people when they said this .
It wasn’t until I noticed I had her knees how similar the two of us are. We do stand the same way resting all our weight on one leg at a time, we have the same squinty smile, and have the same sense of humor. My mom is loving, smart, funny, hardworking, beautiful all things I appraise to be.I hope I’m like my mothers in these ways too,I hope to be at least half the women she is. I’m so happy I have her knees.
