The Tramatizing Fall
When I fell I fell hard. When I fell the pain didn't strike as you would think it would, it was the surprize over my left shoulder that stunned me. It all happened when I was 12 and my family went to my parents friends house for a thanksgiving party. The house was huge but being so big you could still smell the fantastic food cooking. The crisp turkey, the warm cookies right along with the pie and the best smell of all, the brownies. As I walked to the kitchen I could see the brownies that were the color of bark off of a English Oak tree.
We started to dish up our plates to get ready to eat. I sat with the kids that were there. As the parents watched football us kids were in a room playing on the wii. I was really shy not knowing any of the kids in the room at the time. But the longer I was there the more and more friendly I became. The family that lived there had two children, a girl and a boy. they both had their friends there and there were about an equal amount of girl and guys. After we ate I just started to become cool and popular at this party and played some games inside the parents poked their heads and the room to tell us to go outside. Being good kids we went outside right away. Making sure to dress warm for the chilly weather of november. But before we went out one of the girls grab a pink and blue icarly remote. The remote made noises from the tv show. Little did I know that, that little remote would change my life forever.
It was around 4ish pm and all of us kids were having a good time running around outside and letting energy out. As we started to get bored we brought out the icarly remote. We started to push buttons and the buttons made noises like “boooo” and “applause”. We began to run around pushing the boo button to annoy the boys. It worked, we had annoyed them and pretty bad too.
As they got mad they started to run faster to try and get the person with the remote and throw the remote away. My new friends handed me the remote and I ran.
I ran and ran and I didn't have anywhere else to go so I thought it was a good idea to climb a tree. I climb all the way to the to the tippy top. I was more than 8 feet above the ground with the remote in one hand. As everyone came and surround the front of the tree right underneath me. one of the boys yelled “ go after her”. And so one of them did, as he climb I started to climb along a branch.
I was grabbing a branch and all of a sudden I hear a snap. It was a sudly snap but loud enough to know it broke. I started to fall and not thinking it was going to be a long fall I thought I was going to be ok. As I hit the ground I stood up fine. I look at my friends and I see a face of worry and a little bit of sacredness. I soon see them looking at my arms. I took quite glance at my right arm and it seemed fine then I look at my left arm and it's not there and one of my friends point at my right shoulder and I looked again and there was my left arm. Over my right shoulder.
I started to freak out not knowing what to do, I started running around yelling “ I think I broke my arm” over and over again. I ran to the door and couldn't open it cuz I was under so much trauma that was happening at that time. My parents rushed me to the hospital and I got a free stuffed bear out of that. But since that day my left elbow cracks whenever I straighten it and it's also double jointed. It's all good now cuz now I think before I act.
