Friday Nights
The smell of barbecued hamburgers and the hearing of screaming coaches. The players focusing on their duties they have to fill as their positions. All the other cheerleaders and myself gathering together at the touchdown zone for the run through, that made the ground rattle as they ran through. Racing to that sideline to begin cheering our home teams crowd up. Yelling at the top of my lungs, until I began to become hoarse. Trying to pump up the players between each play and letting them know that we are here cheering them on. The last few seconds of the game, biting our nails hoping and praying the game will end and we will go home with a victory. After the game is done and you either win or lose. All that work, energy, and yelling were for something. After each game you realize, and get butterflies thinking about next Friday night being just as fun as this Friday night.
