It seems like many people are always apprehensive because they are overweight. I'm opposite: I want to gain weight. A Chinese doctor told me I need to coordinate my intestines and stomach — absolutely true, as I indeed feel uncomfortable every now and then. "Mix 2 roots of yam and one small spoon of cibotium barometz into hot water, boil gently for a quarter; add a bit of licorice to offset the slight bitterness if you want." It's indeed a good recipe, and my condition remained stable for quite a few months.

But it is hard to maintain — One day, our family went out for a short 2-day trip, then came back to find out we forgot to put the ingredients into the fridge. "Ugh," my mom sighed. “It looks like I have to find time to buy some new ingredients.”

And then both of us forgot.

In fact, I just found out my weight increased by almost 6 pounds this winter break — the most intense activity every day is a 10-minute 'soccer competition' with my younger brother in our living room with a small goal. I don't intentionally eat more, but it seems my stomach is absorbing well for now.
