Stronger Than The Storm
Super storm Sandy caused harm to so many people throughout New Jersey and especially the jersey shore. Although many beaches were destroyed one beach really stood out in people’s hearts. It was Seaside Heights beach in NJ. After the storm was over most of the boardwalk was crumbled and some of the rides were casted out into the water.
Grand Opening
Now almost 7 months later things have changed but not everything. On Memorial Day governor Chris Christie proudly cut a blue ribbon about 5.5 miles long symbolizing that the beach was up and running and ready for the summer season.
Make The Most Of It
Before the storm the boardwalk gave people so much joy and just like all the other beaches and boardwalks it gave people family time. If you think that you can’t have all that fun with the new beach you are wrong. Even though the old beach has been part of your childhood, image the memories that you could make with the new addition to the wonderful site.
Re-Building
As you already know Seaside Heights has many new attractions and additions to the area. After all that trouble that Seaside had with the storm they have had so much work to do the past few months trying to get the boardwalk back up and running for the summer crowd. Since they have worked to get the old damaged things out and the brand-new things in, now it is our part to go and see what changes they have made. They didn’t just fix the wrecked attractions to fix it up. They did it for the citizen’s purpose.
Fun Time
Think about all of the games and rides that went through sandy. They had to suffer head on gigantic waves. They were lonely all that time. All they want to do is to make family’s laugh and have a great time. They can’t to it all by themselves. We have helped them out with the rebuilding and renewing part and now whenever we are having a boring summer’s day they are there to make our day shine as bright as the sun.
Special Events
This summer the shore promises loads of entertainment with a jam-packed calendar of events, performances and festivals all season long. Lots of fun from cooking with Bobby Flay, to cranking the volume up with your favorite bands. They’ve got a Shore Chef Crab Cake Cook-Off, a big event with Restaurant Impossible, surprise celebrities popping up at Job Takeovers and Celebrity Mini Golf, plus a host of other exciting events coming our way.
Obama’s Thoughts
That's why the state has made such a push to promote the "Restore the Shore" campaign - to make sure that the Nation doesn't forget about New Jersey and knows that we are stronger than the storm. When Obama came to New Jersey during the Memorial Day weekend time period her made a very interesting speech about the recovery from Sandy.
“You are stronger than the storm,” Obama said. “After all you’ve dealt with, after all you’ve been through, the Jersey Shore is back and it is open for business.”
Let’s Go To The Beach
Now since the beaches are back up and running and we are stronger than the storm it is time to enjoy the new times we will have there. Like president Obama said we have been though sandy and now that the beach and boardwalk area is back up and running it is time to take advantage of what we have. Its time to hit the beach and enjoy what we have!
