Mom's Ox Braised Ox Tails
Today I will be talking about my mom’s ox tails we rarely have them but when we do its amazing! You can smell her cooking them from outside. Ox tails are the tail of the cow, she gets them cut up into huge pieces.
Sometimes if you don’t cook them right they will become tough and very hard to eat. My mom on the other hand, her fall off the bone! She usually cuts up celery, onions, garlic, and potatoes and throw them in a crockpot then in goes the ox tails. She cooks them over night and viola you have some ox tails! We usually pair it with wild rice. I am not a big white rice girl. Here there are so many different things you can do with oxtails. You can braise them, you can put them in a stew you can even make a sauce out of it. My mom’s recipe is so good even Gordon Ramsey would love them.
